The Parent Teacher Organization, known as the PTO, is a vital part of our school community and allows parents to partner with and support the school. Becoming a part of the PTO allows parents the opportunity to share their ideas during monthly meetings as well as to communicate with the school, other parents, and teachers. One of the important roles of the PTO is to ensure that students have extra educational opportunities. The PTO has several fundraisers throughout the year and collaborates with the school on various events. All parents are welcomed and encouraged to join the PTO. Some of the functions of the PTO are:

The annual school spring carnival, international day, college bound culture decorating contest, teacher appreciation luncheon
Sponsors:
A field trip for each grade level
Grade level visits to a Texas University
A scholarship to a graduating Austin High school senior who is a
Lantrip alumni
Student incentives
Raises funds for improvement of structures such as:
A new track for the school
Garden Maintainance
Beautification
Student playground
Classroom enrichment
Athletic programs
